Probably not what they were aiming at, but I felt like sitting in a vintage New Orleans brothel at Kloof Street House.
Everything from the fairy-lit garden, to the dark walls, Victorian embellishments and the magnificent bar in the back suggest kinky stuff is going on here. The restaurant and bar consists of a chain of separate, mysterious rooms, each one more enchanting than the last, and there is often a live jazz band to add to the cosy atmosphere. Whether you go for a drink (the place is famous for its cocktails) or a dinner (the menu offers brasserie-style food), you will not get bored.
