The traditional Marrakchi riad, more often than not tucked away down some dark little alley, means to emulate paradise with its central plunge pool and heavily decorated galleries, and no matter what god you turn to, you can positively say El Fenn is a design heaven on earth.
The place consists of many different riads, courtyards, mysterious salons, a drop-dead gorgeous spa and a breath-taking terrace that offers a great view over the ancient Medina and her secret, lush parks. Crisscrossing the different rooms, you’ll encounter original art works, log fireplaces, hand-beaten metal bath tubs, amber sofas, stitched camel-leather floors and wild trees trying to grow their way into the palace.
The room rates are high unfortunately, but even if you’re not one of the lucky guests, you can still enjoy its awe-inspiring interior as a spa guest or by visiting the rooftop bar and restaurant.
